Wells Fargo Donates $3.25M For Deadly Wildfire Relief

A San Francisco-based bank is making a large donation to the Camp Fire recovery effort. Wells Fargo has announced a donation of 3.25 Million Dollars to the Butte Strong Fund, administered by the North Valley Community Foundation. Of the total, $2 Million will help people currently staying in a temporary Red Cross shelter find stable housing. Of the 728 people in transition, Wells Fargo will subsidize rent for up to 300 displaced families going into temporary housing for up to six months. Another 1.25 Million Dollars will go for micro grants to help businesses reopen and provide working capital. This commitment is in addition to the $2.8 Million already contributed by Wells Fargo to wildfire disaster relief in the state in 2018. Since then, the bank has deployed its mobile response unit to assist customers with disaster relief and insurance check processing.
