Bull & Gelding Sale Sets New Record

The Red Bluff Bull and Gelding Sale has broken another record, this time for a horse. Over the weekend, a Bay Gelding went for $55,000. That’s a lot of money for a horse that’s not going to reproduce. The priciest bull was a $20,000 Angus. The average price for stock dogs was nearly $7,000, with the highest being $17,000. Last year two dogs went for $30,000 each. The Red Bluff Bull and Gelding sale started almost 80 years ago and is now the largest livestock event of its kind west of the Rockies.
