Corning Man Caught With Pot In Nebraska Set To Be Sentenced

YORK, Neb. (AP) – A Tehama County man caught hauling 62 pounds of marijuana through Nebraska is scheduled to be sentenced March 25. Court records say 31-year-old Ruben Morales Moran, of Corning pleaded no contest last week to attempted possession of controlled substances for sale after prosecutors dropped two related charges. The records say the pot was found during a search of Moran’s pickup truck after a traffic stop Aug. 8 on Interstate 80 in York County.
