The official groundbreaking for the new Shasta County Courthouse will take place this Friday. The ceremony will be held on the steps of the old courthouse starting at 12:15PM Friday. It’ll include a presentation of colors by local law enforcement and remarks by several court officials and the construction manager. The $200 Million courthouse will be built with state general fund money approved by the legislature and former Governor Jerry Brown.
