Black Powder Club Planning 41st Annual Rendezvous

A group of low-tech gun enthusiasts will hold an event in April in Northern Tehama County. Louderback’s Black Powder Club 41st annual rendezvous will involve various games and contests surrounding the use of muzzle-loaders and other open ignition guns that are hand-loaded with black powder and shoot round balls. No modern firearms or modifications will be allowed. A return to a simpler and more primitive era is the theme of the weekend. Campers should bring their own water and firewood. Visitors can pre-register for $15 or $20 for the whole family. The rendezvous takes place April 11th through the 14th at a location off of Hooker Creek Road a few miles west of Interstate Five.
