A dead body was found Thursday morning in the southern part of Siskiyou County, and evidence at the scene suggests that the death was suspicious. CHP Officers and Siskiyou County Deputies responded about 11:15AM after a utility worker discovered the body at the bottom of an embankment near a county road. The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and forensic technicians are currently conducting an investigation and more information will be released at a later date. An autopsy will be scheduled this week.
