Redding Police swept away some homeless camps Monday near the Turtle Bay Dog Park at the north end of Bechelli Lane, and at the former Office Max next door to Barnes and Noble. The Community Clean-Up Team gathered more than a Ton of material and 8 shopping carts. Illegal camping enforcement is largely suspended due to a federal court decision out of Boise, Idaho. Redding’s new ordinance goes into effect this Saturday.
