Judge Suspends Corning Man’s Prison Sentence

A Corning man is likely not going to be welcome in a certain corning restaurant anytime soon, but he was given a break by a judge. 21-year-old Daniel Castro-Fernandez was arrested on New Years Day. He was in a restaurant highly intoxicated and out of control. He ended up assaulting and seriously injuring two employees, including a woman who he punched and kicked in the face. Found guilty of two felonies, Fernandez-Castro has been given a suspended 4 year prison sentence on the condition that he complete 5 years probation after serving 6 months in jail.
