The Good News Rescue Mission has a new outreach van to offer homeless people opportunities to get off the streets at night. Volunteers will especially search for homeless people sleeping in front of businesses. They’ll encourage them to accept the services of the mission and will clean up after them if necessary. Volunteers will also help people from out of the area connect with the “Journey Home” Program, which has already sent 500 people with one way bus tickets back to their hometowns. The mission is hoping to find sponsors for the outreach van.
