Florida Man Sentenced To 4 Years In Prison On Pot Charges

A man from Florida has been sentenced in Tehama County for trying to mail marijuana to his home state. 25-year-old Christopher James Sylva was already on parole in November when he went to the post office in Red Bluff with a package addressed to Clearwater, Florida. The package raised suspicions and a K-9 was used to sniff the package, which turned out to contain one pound of processed marijuana bud. Sylva admitted to getting paid to send the pot in the mail. He’s been sentenced to 4 years in state prison.
