LaMalfa Co-Sponsors Bill To Provide Funding For Sites Reservoir

Two Northstate Congressmen have introduced a bipartisan bill to provide federal support for the long-awaited Sites Reservoir. The lake construction is planned for an area west of Williams in Glenn and Colusa Counties, and would hold 1.8 Mllion acre-feet of off-stream storage. Republican Doug LaMalfa and Democrat John Garamendi are co-sponsoring the “Sites Reservoir Project Act”, which would direct the Bureau of Reclamation to complete a feasibility study for the project and authorize additional funding and technical support. There’s already 1.2 Billion Dollars of federal and state money dedicated to the project.
