Two juveniles have been arrested for robbing cigarettes from an East Redding convenience store. At around midnight Wednesday night, the two boys walked into the Circle K on Hartnell Avenue near Alta Mesa. Both were wearing hooded sweatshirts and one of them simulated having a gun under his clothing. They demanded cigarettes from the store clerk, who gave them several packs. The boys left on foot. Redding Police got a tip about the boys’ identities and arrested both of them. They’re residents of a local group home. One is on probation out of Solano County for robbery, and the other is on probation out of Humboldt County for assault. They were booked into juvenile hall for robbery and conspiracy.
