A 31-year-old Redding man is wanted in connection to an early morning pursuit. At around 5:10AM Monday morning a Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputy on Northbound Highway 273 tried to stop a car with expired registration. Near Happy Valley Road, the car pulled to the shoulder and slowed down. The driver threw a large package out the passenger side window and a moment later 35-year-old Sara Maxine Skidmore jumped from the moving car. The driver then accelerated away and the deputy took chase. Skidmore was picked up by Anderson Police. Meanwhile, the car was chased at 90 miles an hour to Breslauer, where it turned onto Westside Road, El Reno, Harrison, and Cedars. After making several loops around the block, the car headed south on Cedars back to 273 and then to Clear Creek Road. The car turned onto Evans Lane, which is a dead end with the Clear Creek Mobile Home Park on the other side of the fence. The driver jumped from the moving car, which rolled into someone’s front yard. Sheriff’s officials and Redding Police set up a perimeter tried to track the suspect with a K9. The dog was unable to pick up a scent and the suspect remains at large, but officials believe him to be Mark Anthony Hense, who’s already wanted on drug charges. He’s a white man, 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds with short brown hair. The item thrown from the car was found to contain four large bags of Methamphetamine with a combined weight of almost 4 Ounces.
