Flooding Expected As Storm Runoff Flows Into Sacramento River

Some parts of the Sacramento Valley may get some more flooding this week. The California Nevada River Forecast Center is forecasting that Tehama Bridge and Ord Ferry could exceed flood levels again from Wednesday through Thursday morning. The releases from Keswick Dam were increased Saturday to 30,000 cubic feet per second. The water level at Shasta Dam is about 20 feet from the crest. There’s also runoff from various tributaries flowing into the river that contribute to high water levels downstream.
