Two brothers from Redding were among the passengers on an Ethiopian Airlines jet that crashed just outside Addis Ababa. All 157 passengers and crew were killed in the crash. Among the victims were Melvin and Bennett Riffel of Redding. There were passengers from a total of 35 countries onboard, and a number of the victims worked for humanitarian organizations.
