CHP Says Alcohol Likely Factor In Fatal Crash

A 68-year-old Mount Shasta man was killed after his vehicle crashed into a fence on Thursday night, according to the CHP. About 9:45PM, Benjamin Sellers was driving a Honda DRV on South Old Stage Coach Road west of the City of Mount Shasta. For unknown reasons, sellers allowed the Honda to drift off the western edge of the road and the car crashed into a metal and wood fence and overturned in a field. Sellers was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene. The CHP says sellers was not wearing a seatbelt and they believe alcohol was a factor.
