Man Shot In North Redding, Suspect Charged With Attempted Murder

A man was shot in North Redding early Sunday morning. 23-year-old Joseph Allan Lawrinmore was in critical but stable condition at last word. He was taken to a hospital at 4:20AM Sunday with a single gunshot wound. Several witnesses were at the hospital with him and they were interviewed by Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies. They said the shooting happened at a home on Blackberry Lane, located off Beltline north of Oasis. The shooter was identified as 33-year-old Jacob Calvin Jones. With help from the RPD and the CHP, deputies surrounded the Blackberry Lane home. Eventually, Jones came out and was booked into jail for attempted murder. A motive has not been identified and anyone with information is urged to contact the sheriff’s office.
