River Levels Expected To Drop Significantly

Sacramento River levels are continuing to drop, providing relief in some low lying areas. Water releases from Keswick Dam, which were at 40,000 cubic feet per second last Tuesday, have been reduced dramatically. By next Monday they’ll be less than 10,000 CFS and by April 28th releases will be down to just 5500 CFS. Lake Shasta is currently about 17 feet feet from the crest of the dam. Colusa Bridge in Glenn County should be below the “action” stage by Wednesday. All other monitoring points along the river are well below levels that are a concern.
