Man Who Left Note Next To Ankle Monitor Sentenced

Sometimes “sorry” is just not good enough. David Louis Foulton was released from Tehama County Jail, but technically remained in custody with an ankle monitor. When the GPS monitor ran out of power, he slipped it off his ankle and plugged it in to recharge it. He then left his home, in violation of the rules, and left a note next to the monitor apologizing for his absence. Deputies found him at his brothers house and charged him with escape from jail. He’s been sentenced to one year and one month in state prison.
