Shasta College is building a new facility for student veterans. The Veterans Support and Success Center will provide vets and their families a supportive place with direct access to resources available to them. There will be offices for counselors and staff specializing in veterans needs, a conference room, quiet study rooms, and a student lounge with computer access. The construction is funded by bond measure H, a $139 Million initiative approved by voters in 2016. A groundbreaking ceremony for the 2700 square foot building will be held next Monday at 10AM in the campus quad in front of the “Veterans Grove”.
