New Facility At Shasta College Will Help Student Veterans

A ground breaking ceremony was held Monday at Shasta College for a new facility to serve student veterans. The Veterans Support and Success Center will provide vets and their families a supportive place with direct access to resources available to them. Donald Kelley, a Marine Corps veteran who serves the college as a Student Facilitator in the Veterans Services Office, says the transition from military life to civilian life can be frustrating. The 2700 square foot building will be just south of the campus quad.
