Man Arrested For Rape After 3 Victims Come Forward

A 25-year-old Oroville man was arrested after 3 victims reported that he raped them. The Butte County Sheriff’s Office says the 3 victims had reported the alleged rapes in February, March, and April of this year. Detectives began their investigation and were able to link the incidents to the same suspect who they identified as Nicholas Snowden. Each victim gave a similar description of the suspects vehicle, a white 2005 GMC Yukon XL. All the victims say they accepted a ride from the suspect in the early evening hours. They were all taken to secluded area south of Oroville and sexually assaulted. Hill reportedly let the victims go after the alleged assaults. Detectives were able to gather surveillance video of Snowden, and his vehicle was found on April 30th at a gas station near Gold Country Casino. Snowden was taken into custody and booked into Butte County Jail. Investigators believe more victims might not have come forward and anyone with information is urged to call 538-7671.
