A Redding man has charted a running course from Eureka to Mount Shasta that will take him through 330 miles of some of the most rugged territory imaginable. Ryan Spitz departed at 5 O’clock Friday morning on what he calls the “California Untamed Race”, which he hopes will become a world class event. The epic endurance course goes right across the mountains. If all goes as planned, Spitz will arrive at Bunny Flat on Mount Shasta Wednesday afternoon.
