U.S. Attoney’s Office Files Numerous Charges Against Sureno Gang Members

Indictments alleging large scale Methamphetamine distribution have been made by a federal grand jury against eight alleged members of the Sureno criminal gang stretching from Los Angeles to Burns, Oregon with four of the accused showing addresses in Orland. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says most of the men listed in the indictment trafficked in narcotics and firearms and held senior positions among the Surenos. Due to the large volume of drugs involved, and the addition of conspiracy charges, they face possible sentences of life in federal prison. A long list of state, federal, county and city law enforcement agencies are credited with assisting in the investigation.
