Police K9 Helps Nab Wanted Parolee

A Redding Police K9 helped chase down a wanted man Tuesday afternoon. At around 2:40PM a State Department of Corrections Agent in the Caterpillar and Twin View Area spotted 26-year-old Andrew James Duenas of Sacramento and tried to apprehend him. Duenas took off running toward businesses on Caterpillar Road. The agent called Redding Police for help. Duenas apparently is known for violent tendencies and gang affiliation. While officers were searching they got a call from a business saying Duenas had entered their fenced lot and was fighting with an employee. When officers got there Duenas was trying to climb a fence with the employee chasing him. Gunner the K9 got there first and Duenas was taken into custody on a felony parole warrant.
