The Tehama County District Attorney’s Office has had no shortage of men willing to fall for their Craiglist underage sex sting. An investigator places an ad on the Internet site pretending to be a 15-year-old girl seeking the companionship of an older man. It was tempting enough for 35-year-old Adam David Cretaro of Redding to take the bait in April of 2017. He engaged in sexually explicit online conversations and sent pornographic images to what he thought was the girl. When he arranged a meeting for sex, he learned that the object of his desire was only fiction, and he was arrested on several felony charges. Cretaro was sentenced last week to 6 months in jail and 5 years probation, and he must register as a sex offender for life.
