RPD K9 Helps Officer Arrest Suspect Who Threatened People With Large Stick

A Redding parolee was arrested for the seventh time since April of last year after reportedly threatening people with a large stick. Officers were dispatched a little before 2PM Thursday afternoon to the Mobile Gas Station on East Cypress Avenue after several reports from passersby. When officers got there, they say 24-year-old Trevor Allan had a piece of a thick tree branch and he was aggressively approaching someone with the stick raised above his head as if he was about to strike. When confronted by Chase the K9, Allan dropped the stick and was taken into custody. Allan is on parole for assault with a deadly weapon.
