Police Arrest Intoxciated Hit-And-Run Driver

Corning Police seeking a hit-and-run driver on Sunday knew they had the right person when they found her. There were reports of an erratic driver of a Ford truck towing an enclosed cargo trailer. At least, it was enclosed by design. However, 63-year-old Katherine Hamilton of Orland had apparently sideswiped something with the trailer while traveling through Red Bluff, ripping a hole in the side about 7 by 4 feet. It’s not clear if she was even aware of the damage. When Corning Police Officers caught up to her and stopped her, they determined she had a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit. She was booked into jail.
