An Anderson Police K9 helped find drugs and a weapon in a teenager’s vehicle. Thursday, 18-year-old Shane Kozloff of Cottonwood was pulled over for multiple vehicle code violations. Officers noticed that he had Hydrocodone in plain view on the center console. He said he didn’t have a prescription. K9 Aero was brought in to sniff around the vehicle and alerted. A search was conducted, revealing 2 ounces of Psilocybin Mushrooms, 18 MDMA capsules, a small amount of cocaine and unloaded pistol. The pistol had a threaded barrel capable of accepting a silencer. Kozloff said he had the MDMA for sale and was going to give the mushrooms to friends. Kozloff was arrested for possession and transportation of a controlled substance for sales, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle, and additional weapons violations. Kozloff was booked into the Shasta County Jail.
