RPD: Traffic Stop Uncovers Loaded Gun & Meth

Three arrests were made overnight on drug and gun charges after a traffic stop in East Redding. At around 2AM a Mitsubishi Gallant with expired registration was stopped at Churn Creek and Cypress. It was occupied by Amanda Stout of Redding, Ruben Gonzales of Redding and David Schmidt-Pike of Portland, Oregon. Gonzales is on probation and had a felony warrant, so he was arrested and the car was searched, reportedly revealing 2 and a half ounces of Methamphetamine and a loaded 9 millimeter Glock pistol with 3 fully loaded high capacity magazines. All three were booked into jail.
