RPD: Two Teens Arrested For Armed Robbery

A couple of young teenage boys are accused of robbing some other boys at gunpoint. A little after 10 O’clock Saturday night, Redding Police were called to Auditorium Drive by three boys, aged 11, 14 and 15. The 11-year-old said one of the two suspects had pointed a black semi-auto pistol at his face and demanded money. After the boy gave him his cash, the two suspects rode away on skateboards. Within 3 minutes, officers stopped a 14- and 15-year-old less than a mile away riding skateboards on the Dana-to-Downtown Trail. One of them had an Airsoft pistol that looked a lot like a real gun, as described. The 2 suspects were identified by the 3 victims, and booked into juvenile hall for robbery and conspiracy.
