Cal-Trans is making safety improvements on Interstate Five in the Redding area and parts of Tehama County. The “I-5 Shasta Clear Recovery Zone Project” is expected to reduce the number and severity of collisions at more than 50 locations by widening the outside embankment or installing guardrails. Cal-Trans and crews from Steelhead Construction, Highway Specialty and other contractors are working at various times and locations. Cal-Trans reminds drivers to slow down and respect the cone zone.
