Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Girl For 2 Years

Bail is set at more than $2 Million for a Corning man arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a young girl. 37-year-old Oscar Avila Vasquez was taken into custody by Corning Police last Friday after the alleged victim came forward to report that he had been abusing her for two years. Vasquez was questioned at his Edith Avenue home and then brought to the Corning Police Station for a more in depth interview before being booked into Tehama County Jail. His charges include lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 10 and continuous sexual abuse of a child.
