It’s mostly mop up now for the Mountain Fire. The blaze that started near Jones Valley and spread toward Bella Vista at around 11AM on Thursday remains at 600 acres, now with 95% containment. Seven homes were destroyed, and 5 others damaged. Seven outbuildings were also destroyed. There were 3 minor injuries. 493 personnel remain on scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. All evacuations and road closures have been lifted but caution is advised as many fire apparatus are still moving around the Jones Valley area.
