Redding Fire Department quickly attacked a vegetation fire in North Redding late Monday afternoon, but they were again hindered by people who were eager to get a look. The fire broke out at around 5 O’clock to the west of North Market Street below Barbara Road off Lost Lane. Firefighters were able to hold the fire to about a quarter acre, despite being slowed down by spectators getting in the way. That’s a problem that’s become common with fires this season.
