National Guard Troops Assist Deputies Raiding Pot Gardens

More large marijuana busts have been done on private property in Siskiyou County. On Tuesday the sheriff’s office assisted by National Guard soldiers served 4 search warrants in the Butte Valley Area southwest of Macdoel. 1,766 growing plants were seized from greenhouses and outdoors, along with 100 pounds of processed bud. In a separate operation last Wednesday a search warrant was served on Old Highway 99 in the Grenada area. 436 growing plants were seized from four gardens. Three people were arrested. So far this season the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office has seized nearly 33,000 plants and nearly 1800 pounds of processed bud.
