After getting the go-ahead by the city council, the Redding Police Department is accepting applications for 3 new CSO positions. The Redding Police Department currently has eight community service offices assigned to different tasks within the department, such as abandoned vehicle abatement, court officer, missing persons, and patrol. Patrol CSO’s perform a variety of duties that help free up officers so they can respond to higher priority calls. Starting pay is just over 39,000 Dollars per year.
