The Latest: PG&E Restoring Power After Public Safety Shutoffs

Most PG&E customers whose power was turned off Monday evening should be back on line by late Tuesday afternoon. Crews were out Tuesday morning doing inspections of the utilities power lines. About 24,000 customers in Yuba, Nevada and Butte Counties had their electrical service interrupted as a precautionary move due to high winds and the high fire danger. About half of the Butte County customers affected have already had their power back on. The company says it’s continuing to monitor conditions and may enact more shutoffs.
