Chronic Offender Sentenced To Nearly 4 Years In Prison

Another one of Shasta County’s designated chronic offenders has been sentenced to prison. Richard Leland Wymer was labeled a chronic offender by Anderson Police after multiple arrests, including for criminal threats, drug possession, illegal camping and resisting arrest. He was convicted of resisting an APD Officer with force while being arrested on a probation violation. He also admitted to a prior strike conviction. Wymer was sentenced Tuesday to 3 years 8 months in state prison. Any possible good conduct credits in prison will be limited due to his prior strike.
