Woman Arrested After Reportedly Ransacking Home

A woman from Rocklin accused of breaking into a house off Highway 299 in Round Mountain apparently kicked the family dog in the head while trashing the place. The residents arrived home Wednesday to discover their ransacked house and their injured Chihuahua. While walking through the house surveying the damage, they found the burglar was still in the basement. She fled, but they managed to get a photo of her on her way out. Deputies arrived and searched the area with a K9 and a CHP helicopter, but the woman was not found. About an hour later deputies found 36-year-old Angela Quintana walking along the highway and detained her. She was booked into jail for burglary and animal abuse. She’ll be arraigned on her charges Friday.
