A man suffered major injuries in a crash in Cottonwood Sunday night that was caused by his extreme intoxication, according to the CHP. His name is unavailable, but the CHP says he’s a 26-year-old man from Anderson. At 10 after 9 he was southbound on Interstate Five and took the Gas Point Road offramp, but made an unsafe movement and lost control of the Ford F-150 he was driving. The pickup truck left the road and the driver’s side slammed into a tree. The man was transported to Mercy Medical Center with major injuries. He was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, and released to the hospital for treatment.
