Cottonwood Armed Robbery

A small market in West Cottonwood was robbed at gunpoint Sunday. At 9:12 AM, a clerk at the Gas Point Market called 9-1-1 and said she had been robbed. She was alone in the store when a man came in with a bandanna over his face and a pistol in his hand. He demanded all the money in the cash register and threatened to shoot the clerk. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash, driving what the clerk believed to be a 1990s model silver sedan, possibly a Honda, with oxidizing paint. She described him as a white man in his late 20s, about 5-foot-7 and 130 pounds with short dark brown hair and hazel eyes. Anyone with any information can call the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office at 245-6025.
