Anderson Police set a trap using an imaginary 15-year-old runaway prostitute as bait, and three men apparently fell for it. The operation was done last weekend, the 18th and 19th, through an ad placed on several websites offering prostitution services. Those who responded were told that the girl was 15 or 16-years-old, which caused most of them to turn away. Three men reportedly negotiated a price and arranged to meet the girl for sex. The APD says 61-year-old Keith Hoppes of Redding offered the use of his rental home in Anderson for the girl to move in and conduct business. The second man arrested was 42-year-old Yao Liew, who also had allegedly arranged a price and then showed up hoping to get his hands on a 15-year-old girl. 36-year-old Christopher Henderson of Texas offered to exchange services for sex, according to police, including designing and managing a website to market her services, and basically to become her pimp. All three men were booked into jail.
