Deputies: Drunk Man Arrested After Shooting Gun At Neighbor

A Southern Shasta County man is accused of firing multiple shots at his neighbor. At 6:30PM Sunday night Jesus Estrada Delgado called 9-1-1 from Balls Ferry Road a little north of Deschutes to say his next door neighbor, 62-year-old Charles Richard Anderson the Second, was drunk and was yelling at him and trying to shoot him. Delgado told the dispatcher he was taking cover behind a trailer and could still hear shots and see muzzle flashes from Anderson’s direction. Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies soon arrived and called Anderson out of his house. He appeared to be intoxicated and was handcuffed as deputies investigated. Anderson’s wife reportedly confirmed that her husband was drunk and had been shooting a gun. Deputies searched the field where Delgado said Anderson had been while shooting. They found a 38 caliber revolver and spent cartridges. The gun was registered toAnderson. He was booked into jail for assault with a firearm.
