Update: Kampai Sushi Owner Arrested In Online Sex Sting

One of the men arrested by Anderson Police in a prostitution sting last weekend is apparently the owner of a popular Redding restaurant. Police placed an ad on several websites offering prostitution services. Those who responded were told that the girl was 15 or 16-years-old, which caused most of them to refuse. Three men were arrested. One reportedly offered the use of his rental home in Anderson for the girl to move in and conduct business. Another man offered to exchange services for sex, according to police, including designing and managing a website for the girl to market herself. The third man was 42-year-old Yao Liew, who allegedly arranged a price and then showed up for sex with what he thought was a 15-year-old girl. A local anti crime Facebook page displayed City of Redding records that list Liew as the owner of Kampai Sushi, located on Northpoint Drive off Lake Boulevard. All three men were booked into jail.
