A house on fire in the Happy Valley area brought a large response Wednesday afternoon. Cal-Fire sent a full structure response with wildland engines as a precaution to a home on Bright Path, located off Happy Valley Road about a mile south of Olinda Road. Happy Valley Fire Chief Randy Simmons says the fire seems to have started in the rear of the house in the laundry room or around the water heater. The fire damage was mostly in the rear as well, and in the attic. Heavy smoke damage affected the entire house.
