Many Shasta County schools will remain closed Tuesday as PG&E plans to impose another electricity shutoff. Most schools that were closed Tuesday had previously said they would be open Tuesday, but that was before PG&E announced plans for another outage. Schools that get their power from Redding Electric Utility are not affected. Mountain Union School District is already calling off classes for Tuesday and Wednesday. Millville will be open until 1 O’clock. It can likely be presumed that each school will handle the upcoming outage the same way they handled the one ending Monday. It’s a good idea to check the school’s Facebook page or some other online resource.
