A lot of people heard shots fired along Happy Valley Road Wednesday night, but nobody seemed to know where they came from. Just after 11 O’clock Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies in the area also heard shots. One person walking along the road was detained, along with another person on the property where the shots were believed to have originated. Both were unarmed and an extensive search of the property was done with help from Anderson Police and a CHP helicopter but no evidence of gunfire was found. The two detained people also said they heard shots but they couldn’t tell from which direction. Anyone with information can call 245-6540.
