A young man has been given a possible life sentence after committing violent sexual acts against children in two different states. 19-year-old Tanner Cordes Smith was booked into Shasta County Jail in February. His case was investigated by police in Redding and in Glendale, Arizona. Last month smith pleaded guilty in a Shasta County courtroom to forcible sodomy on a person under 14 and forcible lewd acts upon a child, as well as an enhancement for multiple victims. Thursday Smith was sentenced to 20 years to life in state prison.
