Update: PG&E Cuts Power To Many Northstate Customers

PG&E has implemented another widespread a public safety power shutoff. Although the number of customers affected was reduced, some customers who were told they would have power say they’ve been cut off anyway. The number of customers blacked out in Shasta County was supposed to be 6,515. The new community resource center location is the U.S. Forest Service Office on Holiday Road in Mountain Gate. The number of Tehama County customers affected is about 5,600, while Trinity County will not be impacted. There are 13,000 in Butte County. The strong winds should die down Thursday morning and crews will begin their damage inspections ahead of restoration. Cal-Trans has closed 3 rest areas locally, Lakehead and O’Brien, north of Redding and both the northbound and southbound rest areas north of Red Bluff. Customers can monitor the latest at pge.com/pspsupdates.
